Richard C Pendry
Richard C Pendry is a former member of the Parachute Regiment who entered into the field of International Security & Risk Management in the aftermath of the Second Gulf War. For the last 15 years he has worked in the UK and over a dozen conflict and post conflict countries, ensuring that his clients’ operational platforms have sufficient resilience to deal with the heightened threats that they face.
In addition to Richard’s degrees in Security & Risk Management (Leicester) and Terrorism and Political Violence (St Andrews), he also holds various qualifications in Crisis Management and Health & Safety. He is also a Lead Auditor, qualified to audit many ISO management standards. As an author, his debut novel, Damascus Redemption was released in 2016.
One of Richard’s biggest achievements was the design, development and implementation of the security platform for the United Nations that led to the successful running of the Afghan Presidential elections in 2014. He is also a recipient of a US Government commendation for his work on Counter-Insurgency programming in Helmand, Afghanistan.
As a subject matter expert, Richard has appeared on TV, BBC and LBC radio. He also has spoken at a number of security related events and at Oxford Brookes University, where he spoke on the topic of International Terrorism.
Richard has designed and regularly delivers a number of training courses on a variety of subjects.
